Baking Quality In (And how QA can do their part)

Quality Assurance teams are often expected to ensure that no defects exist in the final software solution. However, most test team members know full well that high quality is usually a result of several factors beyond the control of the traditional QA organization. In this presentation, we'll review and discuss key factors in true solution quality and how they assist the Quality Assurance organization in doing their part effectively and predictably.

Michael B. Nearman is a Principal at AGSI, a leading consultancy in helping organizations close the performance gap between their goals and their daily process execution. Mike has over three decades of experience in delivering high risk and complex business automation solutions and shrink-wrapped software products. He has led software development and engineering at such companies as United Airlines, CSX Technology, Peachtree Software, Knowledgeware and Openware Technologies. In more than a decade of consulting, he has performed IT process improvement programs at all maturity levels using state-of-the-art models and best practices. He works with executives, managers and practitioners enabling them to increase both the quality and the predictability of their work while aligning it with true business need.
