QA and Software Testing teams are constantly challenged by new development practices like Agile and DevOps, and the need to keep up with organizational entropy. Software Testing leaders are dealing with different directions and levels of maturity even within the same organizations, creating challenges in driving innovation in testing. The Ubiquitous Quality Model is the answer to fostering strategic thinking, building foundational enablers and remaining flexible and adaptable to a constantly changing landscape.

The Role of QA in the Agile and DevOps Era
- An inward look at how Quality Assurance and Software Testing is perceived and managed today, with most companies in various stages of applying Agile and DevOps practices and other technological breakthroughs. We discuss transforming QA's role from having to constantly adapt, toward helping steer the direction of technology organizations.
Introducing the Ubiquitous Quality Model
- a staged testing maturity strategy is no longer the most relevant view of QA's role within technology groups. The Ubiquitous Quality Model provides a focused perspective to understand where you are, then laying the groundwork for strategic innovation while maintaining tactical flexibility.
Implementation Examples of UQM Capabilities
- Examples are provided for UQM capabilities, using an actual organization and discussion of alternative

The Atlanta Quality Assurance Association (AQAA) was founded in 1984 with the belief that no one company or individual can learn everything that is needed to assure a Quality Environment. AQAA is a not-for-profit organization which is organized to share state-of-the-art Quality Assurance methods, tools and techniques among its members. Our membership is comprised of professionals working primarily in the information systems industry. The AQAA is a Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) Federation Chapter.
To provide local interaction among member organizations in the Atlanta Area, to mutually support each other and to supplement the exchange of information about Quality Assurance, Software Testing, and Total Quality Management.
